El Ayuntamiento de Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo ha puesto en marcha el servicio de recogida selectiva de pilas a través de dos contenedores. Así lo manifestó el concejal de Medio Ambiente, David Ríos (PSOE), quien señaló que los depósitos, con una capacidad de 120 litros, se han colocado "uno en el patio de la Casa Consistorial y otro en la Casa de la Juventud", aunque "está prevista la ubicación en breve de otro en el distrito de Peñarroya". Así, Ríos indicó que "éste es el primer paso, ya que se va a poner en marcha una red de pequeños contenedores, que se van a entregar a los comerciantes que venden pilas para que los consumidores puedan depositar allí las usadas". Será a partir de esta semana.
Los establecimientos dispondrán de unos adhesivos al fin de que las personas puedan distinguir los nuevos puntos de desecho de pilas, según el concejal.
